The band reads "IN MEMORY OF" within gold foliate and rope-work border; and is inscribed to the interior "J.Ward died 17 Apr', 1830 aged 65". The ring is hallmarked with London marks, 1829, the makers mark "I.V", and "18" to denote 18 karat (carat) gold. The ring comes with its original ring box.
